Brian Rodriguez, President
Brian’s career as an entrepreneur and web consultant began at an early age. He originally began Gatorworks in high school and later built his business throughout his time as a student at LSU. He managed websites for over 70 clients from 2002 to May 2006 while juggling the hefty course load of a college student. Brian earned his B.S. in Business Administration with a concentration in Information Systems and Decision Sciences from the EJ Ourso College of Business at Louisiana State University.
In the days following Hurricane Katrina of August 2005, Brian teamed up with partner Charlie Davis, and Gatorworks performed integral duties in the formation of a non-profit called Operation: Share Your Home. The organization worked with displaced hurricane victims in finding housing following the disaster. The Gatorworks offices became the headquarters for Operation: Share Your Home, and the GW team developed a complete website in the days after the devastating hurricane that matched displaced individuals with those whom were willing to provide housing.
Brian and the Gatorworks team were selected to build a web-based volunteer management system for the World Congress on Information Technology 2006 conference held in Austin, TX. WCIT 2006 is considered by many as the world’s premiere Information Technology forum. The biennial World Congress drew over 2,000 business, government, and academic leaders from 80 countries. The delegates participated in the World Congress to ensure the positive impact of IT proliferation on the global community.
In 2007, Gatorworks redesigned the brand identity of the New Orleans Public School (NOPS) system. The new logo and marketing collateral is vital in proving to the region that the school system still plays a fundamental role in post-Katrina New Orleans. GW also developed a high-end web system that allows NOPS personnel to completely maintain their website.
Brian and his team have a considerable amount of political web development experience including clients such as the Republican Party of Louisiana, Governor of Louisiana Bobby Jindal, John Kennedy’s run for US Senate, Congressman Rodney Alexander, and many other congressional, state representative, state senate, and state supreme court races.
Brian is an active member in several professional organizations such as the Better Business Bureau, Baton Rouge Area Chamber, Business Network International (BNI), Entrepreneurs’ Organization (EO), American Advertising Federation of Baton Rouge (AAFBR), Net2NO and Partners One.
Brian also takes part in the Visiting Business Executive Lecture Series at LSU’s EJ Ourso College of Business where he often delivers speeches to business students on how to become successful entrepreneurs.
