2021 flew by, and that’s especially true at Gatorworks! As we continue to grow our number of clients, we are also building our team of account managers to serve their needs better. This is why we’re so excited to welcome Elise Tauzin, our newest account manager!

Tell us a bit about your background! Any hobbies?

I was born and raised in Lafayette, LA, but have spent the last 6 years in Baton Rouge. As a true Louisianian, my hobbies are centered around letting the good times roll, or as we like to say, “Laissez les bon temps rouler!”

The events and celebrations of Mardi Gras festivities have been a year-round fanfare since I was a child. From exquisite balls and parades to the elaborate costuming and overall excitement of the season with my krewe, you can catch me celebrating Mardi Gras to the fullest.

In addition to year-round Mardi Gras festivities, my favorite pastimes/hobbies include: finding unique treasures at estate sales, upcycling projects, taking part in and supporting performing arts, traveling, and enjoying live music.

As an account manager, what do you feel is one of the most important parts of the job?

In my opinion, the best account managers are critical thinkers, creative movers and shakers, and trust builders. With that being said, I think the most important part of an account manager’s job is curating authentic relationships with clients. Having transparent communication is the root of my client relationships. I like to consider myself as an extension of their company—a part of their team. Not just their point of contact at the agency. 

What is your favorite quote?

Why? The perfect pair of shoes can change the way you walk into a room, boost your confidence, or even change your life. I mean, take Cinderella for example.

What do you like best about account management?

As an account manager, I interact with many different people, departments, and teams on a daily basis—both internally at Gatorworks and externally with clients. Building and maintaining relationships and working collaboratively—especially in an agency setting—is what I love most about being an account manager. Many different hats are worn as an account manager and no two days are the same, which keeps things interesting.

If you could meet any historical figure, who would it be and why? 

Ideas: Frida Kahlo, Queen Elizabeth I, Princess Diana, Jane Goodall, Coco Chanel, Cleopatra, and Freddie Mercury

But if I had to pick JUST one…

Walt Disney. Walking around Disney World with the man himself would truly be one of the best days of my life! I would love to pick his brain about everything Disney, like:

  • Where did his inspiration come from?
  • How did he overcome his biggest challenges?
  • What does he think about Disney now vs. his thoughts for the future of Disney back in the day?
