As one of Louisiana’s best career schools, Delta College offers a variety of technical programs throughout four campuses, helping students prepare for today’s job market. 

To find potential students and start them on the road to application, Delta College needed a strategic and comprehensive digital marketing campaign and a website to capture their information.

 

The Website

The Delta College website was a large undertaking for many reasons. We needed to showcase various programs across four unique campuses. The site also had to be an online hub—a starting and ending point for all digital marketing efforts. To do this, we went through wireframes, design, and development with an inbound-strategic mind and an intense focus on user experience.

Different Campuses

Four different campuses—each with their own unique programs and content—presented a challenge to not only the design team, but the development team as well. Using a specific color for each campus, we designed program-specific pages to ensure users could tell when they went from one campus to another. For instance, if a user chose to go to a global area of the site, such as the blog, they would still see their campus’ color to maintain consistency. The color of the site only changes once a new campus is selected.

Lead Driven Design

At any time while browsing the site, the user should be able to contact the campus, schedule a tour, and submit information. Sticky navigation functionality, strategically placed calls-to-action (CTAs), as well as buttons leading to forms, were built into the site to be ensure a seamless experience for users to get in touch. These forms were also very powerful analytics tools. They record what page the user was on when the form was filled out, which gives the admissions team an information edge for lead nurturing.

A Comprehensive Digital Marketing Plan

We started simple, employing search engine optimization (SEO) and pay-per-click (PPC) advertising. But as our understanding grew of the business and the nuances of the programs and classes, we delivered results. This success encouraged Delta College to expand on its Gatorworks services. Eventually, our digital marketing efforts touched every channel—social media, email marketing, and Targeted Display. Each of these services is all deeply intertwined to create a robust digital marketing experience for prospective students.

Over the past three years, we have seen significant, measured growth through more marketing dollars, carefully-planned ad placement strategy, and a focus on increasing conversions. This means that when a prospect lands on the website from our marketing efforts, they fill out a form or call.


We also implemented Call Tracking to accurately track calls placed from our digital ads and landing pages.
