The inaugural members of the LSU 100, which salutes the fastest-growing businesses led by alumni, were honored at a luncheon today. LSU officials gave special recognition to the 10 fastest-growing companies. Broad Oak Energy of Dallas, which topped the list, had 464% growth over the past five years. The other top companies are: Public Properties of Washington, D.C.; Joubert Law Firm of Baton Rouge; General Informatics of Baton Rouge; Ryan Gootee General Contractors of Metairie; Gatorworks Web Design of Baton Rouge; Construction Management Solutions of Baton Rouge; Doerle Food Services of Broussard; Petro TV of New Orleans; and Worley Catastrophe Response of Hammond. To be eligible for the list, companies must have been in business for five years or more, have verifiable revenue of $100,000 or more, and have a former LSU student owning 50% or more of the business or serving as president, CFO or managing partner.
