A New Gator Joins the Team — Get to Know Them!

Say hello to Breanna Creel, our newest designer at Gatorworks! She’s a pro at blending research and creativity to create work that resonates, from eye-catching murals to fresh brand visuals. Outside of her creative work, Breanna loves sharing laughs with the team and savoring her signature iced lattes (oat milk and brown sugar syrup, of course!). Let’s get to know her—welcome to the Gatorworks team!

What was the first memorable thing you designed?

I’d say the first memorable thing that I designed that I felt really proud of was a wall mural for a delivery service. I had to showcase the global reach of the company and was able to do so through simple vector icons. The boss in Europe was very difficult to please, and in the end, he was very satisfied with the work I produced, which always feels great as a designer, where our quality of work is often subjective.

What do you like about Gatorworks so far?

I really love the people I work with so far at Gatorworks. Everyone is unique and really passionate about their craft, so I’m always learning something new every week. I also have a good laugh every now and then! Side note, the fancy coffee machine is a plus.

Favorite beverage to consume while working?

Iced latte with oat milk, vanilla and maybe some brown sugar syrup if I have it with me. It tastes just like my 7Brew order and I save a lot of money each week!

How do you approach a new design project?

Definitely researching the client at length! Stalking their socials, websites, really any information I can get my hands on. Then I’ll find inspiration and collaborate with the team to really zap my creative abilities into gear.

What is your ideal vacation?

My ideal vacation is a resort where I don’t have to partake in too many activities every day. I’d be perfectly content with relaxing near a body of water with a cocktail and beautiful weather. I get overwhelmed if there are too many options for fun (FOMO) and end up not having a great time. Give me a place where there is nothing to do except relax, and I’m golden.

But my dream spot is Germany! I’ll make sure I do as many activities as I can to experience the country.

Do you have a favorite movie from your childhood?

My favorite movie from childhood was the Iron Giant! Even though I was only maybe 10 years old when I first watched it, I continuously liked the visuals (especially the creation of the Turbo Twinkie) as I grew up watching it and the story line always made me feel inspired. I actually have a little action figure on my bookshelf as memorabilia.
