Let’s Cover the Basics – Where are you from, what is your ideal day, do you have any hobbies?

I moved to Louisiana from Kansas City about 13 years ago and have been in Gonzales for the past 12 years. My ideal day is spending time with my wife and kids, cooking dinner for friends and family, and having a few craft beers. I spend a lot of time watching movies and hockey, and love to cook—particularly Cajun dishes or BBQ. While I grew up in the Midwest, I have a large extended family in Louisiana. Since I’ve been here, I’ve taken to Cajun cooking as a part of connecting with my Louisiana roots (and because I’m oddly good at it).

What is one thing you are excited to do as a member of the Gatorworks Team?

Since I previously worked with a smaller team, I’ve been most excited to work in a larger agency setting to see how things function with so many different clients and colleagues.

What is a digital marketing trend that you think will shape our industry?

I think the diversion from Facebook as the primary social platform is going to create great challenges and opportunities for marketers over the next few years. As the industry deviates from one primary platform into many smaller ones, it will be interesting to see how new methods emerge to reach customers.

Favorite line from a movie?

“A team isn’t a bunch of kids out to win. A team is something you belong to, something you feel, something you have to earn.” – Gordon Bombay, “The Mighty Ducks”

Growing up, what did you want to be (besides a Senior Digital Strategist at Gatorworks *wink wink*)?

I was convinced that I was going to be a professional hockey player until high school.

Motto or personal mantra?

Honesty at all costs.
