A new seafood restaurant needed a digital showcase of their modern dining experience with revitalized, yet classic cajun dishes.
The Project
A well known local restaurant group in Baton Rouge approached Gatorworks with exciting news in the Gulf South culinary world. Kingfisher Seafood was set to open its doors in late December 2024 and it needed an easy to use website where customers could check out the hours and location, view the menu, and order online. Based in Fairhope, their first out-of-state venture, Kingfisher Seafood needed a site focused on showcasing its Louisiana origins and its new branding.
Engaging, Modern Design
Like with many restaurants, it’s important to create an aesthetic that allows your patron to have an experience, not just a meal. Nowadays, young adults, families, and tourists travelling to, or through, Fairhope want more than good food. Show them a modern brand and classy atmosphere that makes it worth an outing. With their logo and top-tier branding design, we aimed to create a website that brought this unique restaurant to digital life.
In our simplistic homepage and inner page design we delivered an inviting and visually appealing user experience featuring high-quality images of the restaurant, its cozy ambiance, and its signature dishes.
Seamless Mobile Experience
Perhaps the most important piece of this website’s design was its mobile experience, so we designed it mobile-first. Focusing on the mobile experience before desktop or any other screensize allowed us to hone in on its most important features, such as its navigation interaction, its online ordering button, make a reservation button, and phone number. All of these call-to-actions were strategically placed to make it mobile-friendly, allowing users to get what they needed quickly and conveniently.
Project Summary
Gatorworks created a simple cost-effective website that highlighted Kingfisher as a premier Cajun seafood restaurant in Fairhope, emphasizing quality, fresh, and flavorful dishes inspired by Louisiana roots.
