The Project

Martin’s (formerly Martin’s Wine & Spirits) is a locally-owned business with four locations offering a diverse selection of liquor, spirits, beer, and wine. In addition to their beverage offerings, three of their locations feature a deli, providing customers with a unique shopping experience that combines both food and drink. They also host monthly events to engage with their community and enhance the customer experience.

Martin’s partnered with Gatorworks, seeking a comprehensive digital marketing solution to increase customer engagement and drive foot traffic to their four locations. With a strong local presence and a variety of offerings, they required a data-driven approach to enhance brand visibility and convert online interest into in-store visits. Our team implemented a multi-channel strategy utilizing Pay-Per-Click (PPC) advertising, Search Engine Optimization (SEO), Paid Social campaigns, Over-The-Top (OTT), Targeted Display advertising, and targeted email marketing to optimize their digital reach. By analyzing customer behavior, engagement patterns, and local market trends, we crafted a tailored marketing plan to deliver measurable results.

SEO and PPC Impact

SEO played a crucial role in improving Martin’s online visibility, particularly in local searches. By optimizing their website’s content, meta tags, and structure, we helped increase their rankings for targeted keywords such as “wine shop near me” and “liquor store in [location].” This resulted in higher organic traffic, better search engine placement, and enhanced brand authority. A key component of the SEO strategy was publishing monthly blogs focused on relevant topics, like wine pairings, event highlights, and product spotlights. Local SEO efforts, including optimizing Google Business Profile, also contributed to more visibility results, driving customers to their physical stores.

Targeted display advertising elevated Martin’s digital presence by reaching potential customers who were browsing other websites or apps. Using demographic, geographic, and behavioral data, we delivered highly relevant ads to users who had shown interest in similar products or services. This strategy ensured that Martin’s stayed visible to their target audience across the web, reinforcing their brand message and promotions. The visual impact of display ads, combined with precise targeting, helped increase brand recall and drove traffic back to Martin’s website and physical locations.


Paid Social Success

Paid social media campaigns were instrumental in highlighting the brand’s unique offerings, including their extensive beverage selection, deli options, and monthly events. Together, with the Martin’s marketing team, we crafted targeted ads on platforms like Facebook and Instagram to showcase in-store promotions, seasonal pairings, and community-focused events, aligning with their approachable and relatable brand image. This joint effort led to impressive results, with over 691,000 post engagements and more than 81,000 link clicks. Posts featuring the deli menu and curated wine pairings were especially popular, driving interest and engagement. The campaigns not only boosted website traffic but also solidified Martin’s reputation as a trusted destination for everyday essentials and special celebrations in the local community.
