We built a more modern, accessible, and user-friendly website that better serves the people of Louisiana.
The Project
The Office of the State Public Defender came to Gatorworks looking to modernize their website and create a more user-friendly experience. Our team began with a complete redesign, incorporating a broader color palette and updated imagery to reflect their mission more effectively. From there, we brought the development up to date with clean, modern code—ensuring a seamless experience for both public users and internal team members managing the site.

Portal Outline
In addition to redesigning their main website, the Office of the State Public Defender approached us with a need for a more efficient internal tool. Their team had been relying on a spreadsheet to collect and manage annual data submissions—but over time, it became clear that the system was no longer meeting their needs. We worked closely with them to develop a custom online portal that replaced the spreadsheet with a structured, user-friendly form. The portal allows multiple user accounts and is designed to support secure, accurate, and consistent data entry from each parish, streamlining their internal reporting process.

Project Summary
The Office of State Public Defender partnered with Gatorworks to modernize its website and improve usability for both the public and internal teams. The project included a full redesign with updated visuals and a more streamlined user experience. After launching the new website, the speed of the site increased, as well as its viewers. Not to mention the seamless, easy use of the portal for their internal team members.
