A content-driven website for a consulting firm rooted in education needed a powerful, organized website for their clients and reader base.

The Project

Based in Washington DC, Whiteboard Advisors is a firm composed of education and governmental policy specialists, communication strategists, and other influential people—all with knowledgeable insights to share, which became the main content strategy on their website. Rather than making their website lead-generation focused, Whiteboard sought to capitalize on their knowledge and provide up-to-date informative posts and op-ed pieces on current education policy news. With this content strategy in mind, Gatorworks designed a website that showcased and organized their team’s extensive archive of posts, while also driving users to sign up for Whiteboard Advisors’ several newsletters where the majority of this content is shared and distributed.


Content & Author Driven

The blog posts, better labeled as “Insights”, were divided into four main categories of content speaking to the phases of an individual’s education: “Early Childhood” “K-12 Education” “Higher Education” and “Workforce”. Within these categories, users could filter further and/or filter by author. Because Whiteboard Advisors’ unique proposition is their team of specialists and experts, they capitalized on the author’s credibility by featuring their profiles on the posts along with a link to their bio. The post is also easily distributed by utilizing the social share options alongside the story. 

Newsletter Branding

In addition to creating a newsletter section of the site that allowed subscription submissions to flow seamlessly into a third-party email blast software, Gatorworks also designed the brands for each of Whiteboard’s newsletters.

Collaborating with Whiteboard Advisors, the Gatorworks team worked to design custom logos for their suite of newsletters, including Whiteboard Notes, What We’re Reading, The Ed Sheet, and Boundless Potential. Our team carefully crafted each logo to reflect the unique identity of each newsletter while ensuring consistency with Whiteboard Advisors’ overarching brand. By balancing individuality with brand cohesion, we helped create a visual identity that resonates with their audience and strengthens the recognition of each newsletter’s purpose and message.
