A transformative new website to transform Louisiana’s care and prevent childhood adversity.
Whole Health Louisiana is a collaborative initiative created to systematically address the widespread issue of childhood adversity and trauma through the integration of trauma-informed and healing-centered approaches for children and families.
The Project
Housed within the Family Bureau of Health in the State of Louisiana, envisions a future where all children, families, and communities can thrive regardless of identity or location. The initiative addresses childhood adversity by integrating trauma-informed, healing-centered approaches across state systems of care, with a strong focus on prevention and early intervention. As Whole Health Louisiana strengthens and coordinates statewide work through public awareness, evidence-based policies, data sharing, and workforce support as a new initiative, the goal of this project was to create a website that could be scaled to grow as the initiative further developed and planted deeper roots in the state’s system of childhood care.
The Website
We developed a modern, user-friendly website that serves as the central hub for information about Whole Health Louisiana. The site introduces visitors to the initiative’s vision and approach, explains childhood adversity and trauma-informed care, highlights partners and regional efforts, and houses key resources and updates. The design prioritizes clarity, accessibility, and ease of navigation for a wide range of audiences, including families, practitioners, policymakers, and community organizations.
Getting People Involved
We structured the site to guide users intuitively through the initiative’s work—from foundational education about trauma and adversity to action-oriented pages like Join the Coalition, Regional Hubs, and Resources. Clear navigation, calls-to-action like newsletter sign-ups, coalition membership tiers, and regional hub toolkits help users learn, connect, and participate directly in statewide prevention and healing efforts.
Project Summary
Through strategic content organization, thoughtful design, and scalable development, the website establishes a strong digital foundation for Whole Health Louisiana’s ongoing work. By clearly communicating the initiative’s purpose and providing accessible engagement opportunities, the site positions WHL to expand awareness, strengthen partnerships, and support continued statewide coordination. This digital platform equips the initiative to grow alongside its work and adapt as new resources, data, and opportunities emerge.
