Tell Us About Yourself–Where are you from, are you an animal lover, what’s your go-to weekend, etc.

I’m originally from Garyville, Louisiana and currently reside in Prairieville with my wife Natalie and daughter Emilia. We also have a cat named Simba who lives up to his name and thinks he’s the king of the house. I went to Southeastern Louisiana University and received a Bachelor of Arts degree. We like to do family things such as , camping, visits to the zoo, watching movies, etc. I love to build LEGOs with my daughter. When I have time to myself, I enjoy playing video games, designing for fun, and going down the rabbit hole that is Youtube. During the holidays, I build bonfires on the levee with my friends. We’ve built guitars, fish, crawfish, historical buildings, space shuttles, and more all out of logs.

What’s Your favorite Dinner spot in Baton Rouge and why?

Favorite dinner spot in BR is probably Texas de Brazil. Mostly because I consider myself to be a carnivore and when there’s all you can eat I’m sold. Bacon-wrapped anything is my jam; especially Filet Mignon. I also love brunch at The Ruby Slipper Cafe. I highly recommend the Chicken St. Charles dish, it’s quite amazing!

What drew you to pursue a career at Gatorworks?

I was looking for the next creative outlet in my career and a new company culture and found both at Gatorworks. Something I look forward to working at Gatorworks is the  opportunity to progress my career and take responsibility over creative. I’m excited to work with a team that encourages each other and builds off of one another’s knowledge and skillset. The types of clients that Gatorworks works with are the types of clients that I’d love to do work for.

If you didn’t have to sleep, what would you do with the extra time?

Probably clear out my ever growing queue on Netflix. This is of course if my daughter still does sleep. The Office and Parks & Rec are like my comfort foods. I’ve probably watched those through 3 times each. Some of my other favorites are Breaking Bad, Sons of Anarchy, Black Mirror, Stranger Things, and Sherlock. I just got into Mindhunter so hopefully that one won’t be lost in my queue as well.

If your life was a book, what would its title be? Why?

Judge This Book by It’s Cover

Being a designer, I don’t always agree with the phrase “Never judge a book by it’s cover” because I usually do just that. The cover is what catches my eye and is my first interaction with a book, product, advertisement, etc. I tend to buy one product over the other because it looks better. Sometimes it’s a bad choice, but I think if a company put this much thought and work into how the product is perceived then at least the design deserves the purchase.
